We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our Albuquerque dental office. If you would like to learn more about our team, you can read about each of us below.

Office Administrator

Angela came to Albuquerque in 1997 from the San Francisco Bay Area. She attended CNM and studied accounting and business. Before joining the practice, Angela was the Client Relations Manager for 11 years at a software company that focused on business management solutions. She has many years of administrative and client relations experience in corporate and small business. Angela strives for excellence and endeavors to make your experience here very pleasant.

When Angela has time away, she enjoys reading, watching movies, going for walks, dining out, and spending time with her family.

Front Office Coordinator

An Albuquerque resident for the last 45 years, Cindy brings a large amount of dental experience to our office both from an assisting and a front office perspective. She has forty years of experience in dentistry and joined our team in 2010 as our front office coordinator.

Taking care of people is what Cindy enjoys most. She loves to help patients feel comfortable, see their smile transformations, and get to know each of our patients on a personal level.

Cindy enjoys reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband enjoy going to concerts and listening to local bands around the East Mountains.

Front Office Coordinator

Crystal joined our team in December 2020.  She has dual skills – she’s a dental assistant and administrative assistant.  She is currently one of our friendly front office coordinators.  Crystal receives great joy in helping patients understand dental health and helping them achieve their goals.  Crystal was born and raised in Albuquerque.  She graduated from Valley High School and Pima Medical Institute.  During her free time, she enjoys exercising, drawing, cooking and spending time with her three children: Charisma 15, Emery 4 and Colton 2.  Together they enjoy playing at the park with their dog, Ranger, watching movies, and going camping in Pagosa Springs.  Look for Crystal at the front desk; she’ll be happy to greet you!

Front Office Coordinator

Jennifer was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM.  She is married and has 4 kids.  Jennifer’s professional background is in orthodontics; she was an assistant.  She worked in that specialty for more than 18 years.  As a youth she wore braces and during her treatment, she experienced an environment where they helped people feel good about their teeth and gave people more self-confidence.  This eventually led her to a career in the dental field.
Essenmacher Family Dental was fortunate to add her to the team in April 2022.  Her very kind and friendly demeanor is an asset to the front office where she interacts with patients and helps them coordinate the treatment they need.  When you call, you will likely hear her friendly voice.
Most of Jennifer’s free time is spent with her family.  She values her alone time with a good cup of coffee, reading, and attempting Pinterest projects.

Front Office Coordinator

Ana was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM.  She attended school, married and started her family here too.  She became interested in the dental field when a family member needed dental treatments.  She was really impressed with the care and compassion he received.  She then pursued a career in the dental field in 2015.  Ana managed a specialty dental office for 5 years.  She is fluent in both Spanish and English which has helped reduce potential misunderstandings and helped her develop interpersonal skills.
We were fortunate to add her to our team in May 2022.  She fills her role of front office coordinator excellently and arrives every day with a smile and brings a very pleasant attitude.
When she’s not working she enjoys cooking, eating, and spending time with her family.  She and her husband own horses, goats and French bulldogs – keeping them both very busy!

Dental Hygienist

As an Albuquerque native, Jackie finds herself right at home at Essenmacher Family Dental. We have been lucky to have her as a part of our team in 2010. She earned her BS in dental hygiene since 2010, graduating cum laude and as class president.

Jacqueline enjoys teaching patients the importance of good oral hygiene to their overall health. Each patient is different and has unique needs, and she approaches treatment from that perspective.

When she is away from the office, you will find Jacqueline doing anything athletic: weight lifting, running, spinning classes, and even watching sports. She likes participating in local events such as fairs and festivals and values her quality time with family.

Dental Hygienist

Alissa, originally from Grants, NM, joined our practice in 2012. She was the class president at Dona Ana Community College, where she received her hygiene degree.

Meeting new people is one of her favorite parts of her job. Alissa enjoys helping people get excited about a healthy smile as well as helping them to achieve optimal dental health and maintain beautiful smiles. Educating patients about oral health is rewarding to Alissa, especially when patients get excited about learning something new.

In her free time, you will find Alissa reading, running, playing with her dog, going to the movies with her husband, and spending time with her family.

Dental Hygienist

Elisha joined our practice in March 2020.  She grew up in Edgewood, NM.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2010 from UNM, followed by a master’s degree in 2015.  Elisha always wanted to practice in the healthcare industry and found herself fit for dentistry.  She genuinely has a passion for patient care, and for educating patients on the importance of maintaining good oral health and how it affects the entire body.  In her free time, Elisha enjoys spending quality time with her family.  She enjoys the outdoors, bike riding, and playing with her kids.

Dental Hygienist

Marlene, originally from El Paso, TX, joined Essenmacher Family Dental in June 2021. Previously, she was a dental assistant working for the Department of Defense since 2004. In 2017 she moved to Albuquerque to further her education and received her degree in dental hygiene from Pima Medical Institute in 2019. That is when she started her career as a dental hygienist.

Marlene enjoys building relationships with patients and having the opportunity to educate patients about effective oral health. She works to help patients overcome their fears by forming trust and establishing a safe environment for patient care.

In her free time, Marlene likes to be outdoors while gardening, biking or relaxing and admiring the Sandia Mountains. She also gives back to the community by volunteering when she can with the Rio Grande Food Project.

Dental Assistant

Janice joined our team in June 2018!  She has been in the dental field since 2008, and she’s very excited to be a part of an amazing team.  She looks forward to building relationships with our patients and their families.  She is determined to ensure that our patients have a positive and caring experience at our office.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and cooking her favorite foods!

Dental Assistant

Kenia was born in Mexico and raised in Phoenix, AZ.  She moved to Albuquerque with her family in 2008.  She decided on a career as a dental assistant in 2016.  We were fortunate to add her to our team in February 2021.  She really enjoys the family atmosphere at Essenmacher Family Dental.  Besides her warm and gentle disposition, she adds something of extra value to our practice – she’s bilingual.  Our team and Spanish-speaking patients appreciate her skill of translating conversations about dental treatment and options.  It is obvious that Kenia enjoys helping all patients feel comfortable and relaxed at the dental office.  During her free time, she enjoys the great outdoors with her family and pets.

Dental Assistant

Kira is originally from Louisiana.  She moved to New Mexico in 2008 with her family and she attended Rio Grande High School.  She has two kids, a boy and a girl.   In the process of teaching her kids to brush their teeth and build good dental habits, she became interested in a career in the dental field.  Kira graduated from Carrington College in 2018 with a dental assistant certification and joined Essenmacher Family Dental in May 2021.  She is kind and compassionate and really enjoys helping patients achieve good dental care.

Kira loves to cook and try new recipes.  In addition to cooking, she enjoys reading, country dancing and especially spending time with her kids outdoors.

Dental Assistant

McKenna is from Logan, NM – the Eastern part of the state near the Texas border. She lived there until 2019 when she moved to Albuquerque. It was then that she earned her Dental Assistant Certificate from Pima Medical Institute. She graduated top of her class with a 4.0 GPA and was awarded lead dental assistant.
We were happy to add her to our team in May 2022. She genuinely enjoys meeting new patients and caring for their dental needs. It means a lot to her to help patients achieve their dental goals and gain confidence from a healthy smile. She believes “A smile is worth a thousand words”.
McKenna has an adventurous spirit and enjoys creating great memories doing lots of outdoor activities, traveling, and motorcycling. She also enjoys cooking, exercising, and caring for her cat. Occasionally,
McKenna volunteers at the Animal Welfare Department and at The Children’s Center at Presbyterian where she reads to the children.
